Thank you for the Headshot recommendation - part-way through I thought about giving up on the basis it “wasn’t for me” but I recalled your review about the lovely ending, and I’m so glad I continued!
Ok, sold on the Rachel Incident and Headshot. The first because anything Irish I want to give a go, the second because Western Lane was so interesting that I want more books on a topic I'm not interested in that bring me more than I bargained for! (A good genre if any)
Excuse my very simplistic idea/question, but could these sport related stories be more your thing because they're seen from another gender's perspective?
And thank you for the last paragraph about Enter Ghost (I was already sold on this from the longlist reveal). 🍉
I think it might be as simple as I don't get on with sports books because I'm not into sport! A book just has to be really good to elevate my lack of interest in the subject matter. But absolutely it being about women or girls makes it more likely!

Oh I'm so delighted to hear this!
Brilliant piece!
I couldn't agree more about Brotherless Night.
Just superb isn't it!
Ah you've sold me on Headless and Brotherless Night!
Headshot I mean 😅😅😅😅
Would be SO interested to know what you made of both, especially Headshot!
I shall keep you posted!
